Normal shipping days are Monday – Thursday. Minimum orders are $350. Orders placed which are less than $350 are not covered by our live arrival guarantee. For orders placed on Monday’s that are below the $350 minimum, there may be a $25 service charge added to your order. For orders shipped on other days, there may be a $15 service fee for orders under the $350 minimum. In order to help ensure that you are not charged a service fee due to a low fill rate, it is recommended that you use our online ordering system for an up to the date inventory availability. Please inform your sales rep at the time of the order, what items you would like substituted in case some items are not available when the order is being packed via SeaDwelling.com
HOURS
- Monday through Wed 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Thursday 8:00 AM to 4.00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
- Order Desk opens Monday through Thursday 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
TERMS AND POLICIES
- All orders are shipped freight collect and prepaid by VISA/MASTERCARD.
- Shipping customers:
- We will do our best in finding the best possible flight for your shipment. However, we cannot assume responsibility for airline delay or mishandling, which may occur from time to time. We expect you to pick up the shipment regardless of the circumstances and even after extreme delay (over 48 hours). Most airlines will accept claims for major delays or mishandling. Refusal of a shipment for any reason does not release your liability, will void any claims by either the consignee or the shipper and will prevent us from shipping you in the future. If you need help or have questions in case of an airline delay, please contact us.
- We guarantee live arrival, subject to conditions below, only on non-delayed flights under non-extreme weather condition and if shipment is picked up within 4 hours after flight arrival. DOA (Dead on Arrival in the bag) must be reported within 24 hours after flight arrival by e-mail. DOA claims of 5% and below of invoice amount (minor losses) will be absorbed by the buyer. Photos must accompany any DOA claims over 5% of invoice amount. If approved, full or partial credit for DOA claims over 5% of invoice amount will be applied on your next order. No cash refunds. Credit is valid for 30 days after invoice date. In the unlikely case of a major loss (over 10%) or any live fish over $50, leave the dead fish inside their original (unopened) bags, take photos, then open the bags and line up the fish on styrofoam cover and take 15 seconds videos of the dead fish. Email the photos/videos to your sales rep and wait for our instruction (dead fish may need to be returned in order to receive credit). Any requested change in our packing procedures voids this guarantee. Sharks are not guaranteed. This DOA policy also applies to UPS shipments.
- Insurance coverage required for UPS shipments on Thursday and during heavy shipping days (eg. Cyber Monday).
- We cannot honor any claims for DIA (Dead In Aquarium/Acclimation tank).
- Walk-in customers:
- DOA claims cannot be accepted. You must carefully inspect the fish when you pick them up. There is a 25% service fee for any fish returned once they are packed or invoiced.
PRICING AND ORDERING INFORMATION
- Packing charge: a flat $9.50/box for single or double or Indo Styrofoam box. $20.00 for special/custom Jumbo box.
- Heat/Ice Packs are used as necessary or on request at $1.25 each.
- Stock list is updated Sat and M-Thu by 9.30 AM.
- We will do our best to fill your order ($400 min M-W, $250 min Th-F, $250 MIN for UPS M-Thu, $500 for export). Some items, however, may be sold out when we start packing your order. We suggest that you order slightly more than what you need. Unless requested otherwise, we will substitute up or down one size, if the size of the ordered item is not available.
- Prices are subject to change without notice and fluctuate for seasonal/special items.
PACKING
- To ensure the highest quality shipment, each fish/coral is screened at two different checkpoints: by the catcher when it is picked up and by the quality controller before it is packed.
- All shipments are packed for up to 48 hours of transit time under non-extreme weather condition.
- Fish are stocked and shipped with the following water specifications:
Fish: Specific gravity 1.019, pH 8.0 to 8.3. Coral/Invertebrates: Specific gravity 1.023, ph 8.1 to 8.3
RECEIVING SHIPMENT
We suggest that you maintain water salinity and pH as mentioned above.
Check contents at the time of pick up if there is evidence of damage/mishandling and get a signed report from the airline.
Boxes should not be opened in a brightly lighted room to prevent shock to the fish after being in the dark for some time.
Acclimate the fish accordingly to adjust for temperature and water differences.
If possible, separate newly arrived fish from existing fish to prevent aggression from the existing fish.
